Capacity of services: Phone service only. Callers speak with a trained interviewer who refers the situation to the appropriate legal resource whether it is an attorney or a community organization.

Eligibility requirements

Specific population: All of Waukesha County, Washington County, Jefferson County

Income guidelines: None for our service, but all of the attorneys on our panel that we refer to are private attorneys that do charge standard fees.

Fee schedule: The initial half hour consultation with the attorney is guaranteed to be no more than $20. During the consultation, attorney fees are discussed. Except for contingency cases, there may be an up-front retainer fee and hourly rate. However, there is no obligation to hire the attorney after the consultation if the client is not satisfied with the fee arrangements discussed.

When, where & how should contact be initiated

Telephone: All by phone

Will questions be answered over the phone: No

Will appointments be made over the phone: No, but the client can be directly connected to the attorney's office, so they may schedule the appointment

Are there specific times to call: Office hours Mon-Fri 8:30-5

May clients walk in: No

Are there specific hours for intake: During all open business hours.  A message can be left after hours.
