New Website for Waukesha County Circuit Court

On the eve of her retirement, Carolyn Evenson released the newly designed Waukesha Circuit Courts web site for public use.  The new site includes expanded content, procedural information for use by court personnel and the public, and increased functionality for users.

The award-winning Waukesha County Family Court Self Help website has been integrated into the redesigned courts website and also includes additional information and easy to access features.  Evenson said, "the project has taken over a year to implement, but is well worth the wait.  The website content is both extensive and user-friendly, and additions or changes can be quickly and easily managed within our office.  I am grateful to staff for their many hours of effort on this project."

The website is located at http://circuitcourts.waukeshacounty.gov/.  Please make yourself familiar with the site and we encourage your comments.

Burd and Schroeder Retire

Diane Burd, Chief Deputy Clerk of Court, and Carole Schroeder, Deputy Clerk of Court, announced their retirement after decades of employment with Waukesha County.  Diane joined the Courts in 1973 and has worked as a Clerk I, Clerk II, Clerk III, Deputy Clerk, Office Manager and has served as Chief Deputy for the past 14 years.  Carole began working in the District Attorney's office in 1969 as a stenographer and has served as a Deputy Clerk of Court for the past 20 years.  Diane and Carole have seen many changes in the Courts over the years and both possess a wealth of knowledge.  They will be sorely missed by all!

Family Self Help Center Continues to Serve Waukesha Well!

The Waukesha County Family Court Self Help Center has added a new Family Legal Clinic where area attorneys meet one-on-one with citizens who wish to represent themselves in a divorce or other family legal matters.  As a result of a grant from the State Bar, the Family Legal Clinic was design in 2007 to compliment the services already provided by the center.  Forty-four family legal clinics were held serving over 277 litigants in 2008 by 17 local attorneys who volunteered their time to meet with litigants.  The Family Self Help Center also offers court information and public resources.  The Center is located in C108 and is staffed by Customer Service Representatives who can direct you to available resources, user-friendly forms and instructions, assist you with public access computers, answer basic procedural questions and review documents or forms for completeness.
